Experience High Tea in the Charming Town of Valley, Nebraska

Beautifully decorated tables, the art of Wendy Deane on the walls, and very welcoming staff are only a few of the highlights that accompany High Tea at Simply Delicious.

It’s rare to find a place that offers an afternoon tea in the midwest, let alone one that does it as well as Simply Delicious.

Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed by the most kind and attentive staff that will seat you at a gorgeously plated table with a large selection of tea.

The meal begins with a tomato bisque — their signature soup, which was divine and I highly recommend ordering this even if you aren’t there for high tea.

Next up is a three-tier dish featuring fruits, finger foods, and chicken salad sandwiches.

And lastly, each guest was served their own plate displaying a variety of desserts, including a cream puff, fruit topped cheesecake, and a decadent brownie surrounding a seasonal parfait.

When you walk in, the walls are decorated beautifully with plates and paintings, all of which are works from Wendy Deane — and it’s all availbable for purchase, so the decor of the restaurant is always changing.

Simply Delicious pays attention to tea party detail, including attire. Whimsical hats — each unique in style and color — are placed on each chair when you arrive. And depending on the age group that will be attending, your table can be decorated with dolls for young girls.

High tea is by reservation only, visit their website here to make a reservation.

While you’re in Valley, be sure to walk around Spruce Street, as there’s plenty to see and do — here’s how to spend your afternoon there.
