Excursion Feature: Parasailing in Nassau, Bahamas
For us, parasailing at the start of a thunderstorm, the exhilaration of this excursion was amplified. Either way, flying roughly 400 ft. above clear blue water, with little lighthouses in the distance, this was a great cruise excursion.
Before the excursion, we waited by the pier where locals are gathering conch shells and selling fresh coconut drinks (regular and with alcohol). With the unpredictable Caribbean weather, our flight time was delayed by almost two hours - something to consider when booking - so it was nice to have restaurants and shops nearby to help pass time.
The ride is tandem, so if you have an uneven number of people, you may be riding with someone from another group.
If you’ve never been parasailing, this was a great first place to try it. I would recommend scheduling it earlier in the day, with possible delays.
